Sunday April 13
The Rock Lottery at Neumos ($10) – 25 musicians are broken up into five bands, given 12 hours to come up with a 3-5 song set with a limit of one cover, and then asked to perform said songs in front of a crowd.

In addition to that, the EMP Pop Conference is going on at the EMP at Seattle Center through Sunday.
A Rock Lottery

Ever wondered what would happen if you randomly selected a bunch of musicians to form a five person band, write and compose three songs in twelve hours, and then perform those songs that very evening? This is exactly the premise for the annual Rock Lottery, which recruit’s 25 willing subjects to form five bands, who will play Neumos the very day they are thrown together. This year’s list of participants draws from all over the Seattle music scene. Here’s the details in text:
