The Daily Choice: Papercuts - Future Primative

I made it out to The Greenhouse last night for the Arbitron, Talbot Tagora, DadFag, and Transmography show and at the cost of most of the hearing in my left ear, was absolutely stunned. The entire show, every band was impressive, but I’ve got to give my choice for the evening to Transmography. The lead singer played a metal pole! I was smitten. Those who chose network television instead of the short hop to the CD should be ashamed of themselves.
This Papercuts album, You Can Have What You Want has been floating around my desk for nay two months now and I’ve given it listens here and there, and poked around with it, but couldn’t really find what everyone else was talking about. That is, until one moody, grey day, I popped the album in on the walk home from work and was just drawn in to the ambience inherent in the album as a whole. This isn’t an album to just listen to one track off of, it’s a full out composition, a cloud of softly built noise that condenses around Jason Quever’s remarkable voice.
