Abbey’s Bumbershoot Schedule
Reignwolf ::: photo by Abbey Simmons
I wouldn’t call this a recommended schedule, as for the first time in the last five years, I just get to go to Bumbershoot. I’m not reviewing it or shooting it or running around like a crazy person trying to see every local band or big name touring act that’s stepping foot on the grounds. This year, I’m doing Bumbershoot as a civilian, I’m going to try and see some comedy acts (which I’ve never done in the 30 years I’ve been attending), catch a lecture or two and wander the visual arts halls. Sure, there will still be LOTS of music seen and I’m excited to see a few of my favorite local acts of 2012 – Deep Sea Diver, Damien Jurado and Bryan John Appleby – play the festival, but mostly I’m just excited to see where the weekend takes me, to discover something new, to visit my favorite artists at Flatstock and buy more posters for wall space I don’t have and celebrate the last official weekend of Seattle summer.
What are you most looking forward to this weekend?
