The Daily Choice: Terry Malts – Disconnect

by

Anything Terry Malts does feels like sonic gold right now, so it’s no surprise that this new 7″ a-side somehow feels totally different than their usual grit-soaked blast of pop-punk, but still totally turns me in to a blubbering sock puddle. It’s hard and heavy and I can feel the ghost of Ian Curtis smoking a cigarette just off stage right and it is, yet again, another complete and total victory for this most talented of bands.

The 7″ is a split with Dead Angles on the sporadic but well respected Log Lady Records.

Hit us up.

  1. Phil, Corey, and Nathan are musical geniuses, which was clear the first time I saw them play in Magic Bullets a couple of years back. “Disconnect” is the latest of their fuzz-pop-punk gems, addresses the perils of online life. You could do worse than than to catch these guys if they’re playing near you!

Lauren and Jason of Loglady are super-duper, and LL007′s design is beautifully rendered.
