Elba - “From a Sinking Ship” [Video]


This week’s “Featured Song” comes to us from Elba’s new self-titled record, which they’ll be celebrating the release of at the High Dive this Thursday. “From a Sinking Ship,” and the rest of the record for that matter, is decidedly post-genre, a bricolage of modern pop styles that sounds more British than American, and quite a bit more polished than the scruffy median that the Northwest seems fond of. If Built to Spill were to spend a year in London, they might sound like this afterwards.

Elba will be joined this Thursday September 22nd by Blue Skies For Black Hearts, Matt Badger, Jarrett Killen at the High Dive in Fremont.
