The Daily Choice: Reading Rainbow - Dead End

There isn’t a band working right now that makes me want to pump my fist in pop-filled glee more than Reading Rainbow. Prism Eyes slapped me around and left me in a gutter with wispy strands of cotton candy hanging on to my lips, and “Dead End” just continues to kick me when I’m down. I will admit the songs happy-go-lucky thrash is tempered at the end by a decision to dip sharply in to a minute or so of drone-y repetition. But guess what? I like drone-y repetition too! This song makes me want to toss on my bike helmet and go careening down some busy streets with no hands on my handlebars caw-cawing like a drunk rooster.
“Dead End” appears on a split 7″ with similarly awesome Aussies Super Wild Horses that sadly arrived as an exclusive part of the HoZac Hookup Club.
