White Orange - “Dinosaur Bones” [video]

WHITE ORANGE - DINOSAUR BONES from made in china records on Vimeo.

Straight off their performance at Doe Bay Portland’s White Orange know how to write fuzzed out faux-psychedelic rock and roll that will put you in a trance if the neurons in your brain don’t harbor the proper GPS devices to weather the storm. I swear these songs don’t contain Ketamine. Bad jokes about stupid drugs aside, it’s about time someone appreciated the lost art of “wall-balling.”

There was a time when any women man dude worth his salt would forgo traditional recreational activities (read - “Fuck, my hackey is leaking.”) and engage in a sport that Ghengis Khan used to prepare his soldiers bloodthirsty massacre and an orgy of thievery. Unmentionable tools of violence were used instead of racquet/tennis balls. Carbon dated video footage will be available on Youtube as soon as the price is right.

Never again will these two words be so readily available on the lips of children on a recess field near by. Technology has replaced our desire to throw, catch and pelt. Unless there is an app for this I’m afraid wall ball will go the way of Chester A. Arthur (admit you had no idea that I just named a former U.S. President) and be forgotten by history books….forever.

This might be…the last time you see wall ball.

White Orange will be playing their self-titled album release show(s) at Hell’s Kitchen in Tacoma on September 15th and the 2-Bit Saloon on September 16th.
