Postcards from the Road: “Animal Style”

After a few too many months of longing for In’n'Out, a couple members of Pickwick, a Young Lion, local photographer Lori Paulson and one other Animal Sauce addict decided to do something about it. There was only one way to satiate this lust … a round-trip drive to the nearest In’n'Out. Never mind that gas is over $4.00 a gallon or that the nearest In’n'Out is in Redding, California about 600 miles away … these people were on a mission. So a couple weekends ago, five friends piled into a car, drove for 24 hours and feasted on In’n'Out like victorious kings. Somewhere along the way, they took the time to send us a Postcard from their adventure.

You can read more about “Animal Style Seattle” on their Tumblr.

Why are we posting this on Sound on the Sound? This might not be a postcard from a touring band and one Animal Sauce addict is a personal friend, but we couldn’t agree more with what this trip and postcard is really about: doing something. Or as organizer Brad Stemke summed up, this trip wasn’t about burgers but adventure. “Do something YOU have been wanting to do with your friends lately. Life is about adventure. Take one.”
