North of Northwest: Britt & Drew’s Epic Journey Mix CD Contest - Winner

Snowy Road Trip ::: photo by Brittney Bush Bollay

Announcing the winner of Britt and Drew’s Epic Mix CD Contest: Duncan Mackenzie. Duncan’s mix captured the feel of the drive and the landscape, rustic and rhythmic and sometimes quiet, with louder “Hey you, wake up!” songs spaced regularly throughout. Bonus points for the Replacements and a (slightly obscure) Constantines song, but the best part was discovering music that was not only perfect for the road trip, but that Drew and I wanted to listen to again and again.

Thanks so much, Duncan. Your photos will soon be in the mail.
