Photos: David Bazan,The Head & The Heart and Damien Jurado Sell Out The Showbox

The Head and The Heart ::: photo by Josh Lovseth
If you ever doubted the strength of the Seattle songwriter, your faith should have been fully restored Saturday night when the all-local bill of David Bazan, The Head & The Heart and Damien Jurado sold out The Showbox. From Damien Jurado’s goose-bump rising rendition of “Ghost of David” dedicated to David Bazan to a crowd of a thousand strong singing along with unbridled joy to The Head and the Heart to David Bazan doing two David Lee Roth style scissor kicks to make it extra clear that one of America’s finest songwriters fronts an honest-to-god rock band now, it was a dream local line-up that exceeded every expectation and offered more than a couple of surprises.
Here are a few of our favorite photos from what was surely one of our favorite shows of 2010. You can see our complete set on our Flickr.
