Doe Bay Fest 2010 Announces more bands: Grand Archives, The Maldives, Fences, Zoe Muth & more

By the time August rolls around, I’m going to have to invent a new word for “excited” and “amazing,” lest our posts on Doe Bay become repetitive. I’m also going to have to get way better at biding my time and being patient, because every new name that gets added to this year’s Doe Bay Festival line-up only makes the perpetual “Is it August yet?” in my head grow louder and more urgent.

We’ve already told you about the first round of awesome bands who’ll be taking the Doe Bay stage and today we’re pleased to share some of the other talented folks who will be joining them:

Grand Archives
The Maldives
Zoe Muth and Her Lost High Rollers
Fences
The Dimes
Kimo Muraki

Seriously, is it August yet? For the second summer in a row, Doe Bay is crafting a festival line-up that exceeds nearly every other local festival in terms of local talent. Sure, The Black Eyed Peas won’t be headlining like they did Bumbershoot, but that’s a positive, not a negative in my book. Combine that with the other folks we know are playing: Grand Hallway, Fruit Bats, Hey Marseilles, THEESatisfaction, Drew Grow and His Pastors’ Wives, Shenandoah Davis … and you’re pretty much guaranteed the local line-up of the summer, again.

And this isn’t even the final line-up … there’s more to come soon. So save the date and start the Doe Bay Festival count-down: August 13th and 14th. I most certainly have. And be sure to check back here with us for all kinds of Doe Bay related goodies, from ticket sale dates to more on the line-up to special features.
