The Daily Choice: Alex Bleeker (w/ Molly Sarle of Mountain Man) - Oh, Boy
This is my second Alex Bleeker post in just under a week, and I’ll admit, I haven’t even heard the full album yet. I’ve tried, I’ve implored, I’ve begged, but as of yet not a soul has seen me fit to hear the rest of what I presume is a stunning first album. Instead, I stumbled upon this little duet between Bleeker and Molly Sarle (of the quickly ascending Mountain Man). Now, if the presence of Bleeker and a third of Mountain Man wasn’t enough to get your tight pants rippling in the pleasure wind, then know this: this is a cover of a un-recorded Girls song. Yes, they of San Francisco, cults, and massive success - this is their cutting room floor.
I’m not one for a live recording (I thank a despicable love of DMB and Phish when I was younger for this) but this duet resonates. The two voices intertwined like velvet covered snakes. You can almost feel them crawling in to your shirt sleeve, their soft little tube bodies rustling their way towards your heart.
