The Daily Choice: Alex Bleeker & The Freaks - Animal Tracks (Mountain Man Cover)

Hey you, yes you with the neon green flat-billed hat with some silly slogan. Let me ask you something? Do you like Underwater People? You know, the fantastic collective of musicians who’ve been beating up the blog scene with eye-widening bits of psych-pop bliss all the live-long year. Them, yeah, you like ‘em? Huh?
Better hope so bubs, ’cause these good-intentioned lads and ladies have been releasing some of the best music of the ’00s and if you haven’t been listening up to now, you’ve got a mountain of recordings to sift through. But lucky for you, that’s a goddamn good thing. Just take this little ditty, a classic rock leaning bit of Neil Young bliss from Alex Bleeker & The Freaks (Underwater People’s first released album mind you). It weaves and warbles, from falsetto freak-outs to a bit of guitar fuzz hootenany, running the gamut of all things you want to be hearing.
So, if this is your first taste, just know, this is a firm indication of what you’ve got in store. And by that I mean, amazing.

Kind of reminds me of the cover to the Pulp classic album cover Different Class! I suppose their music is kind of similar too?
