The Daily Choice: Yes Please - Track 02

It’s almost Thanksgiving.  Woooo ooooo oooo.  I can already smell the burning, dead bird and the aluminum rank of cranberries from a can.  Clap your hands everybody, it’s a goddamn celebration.

Stumbling across Yes Please this morning, the solo project of Lily from Grass Widow, I felt decidedly adjusted to the Thanksgiving spirit of this town I now call home.  It’s a little lonely, a little empty, and has in no way whatsoever the Americanized appreciation of pilgrims bleeding through its veins.

This is just simple, beautiful music, that pulls you away from the hype and the holler.

Happy T-Day everyone, happy T-Day.
