Glad you enjoyed the show! With regard to the wristbands, you've hit the nail on the head. All the sweat and crud on my guitar gets sticky and I start losing skin with all the wailing and gnashing of teeth. I've always been kinda "Pssh...wristbands. That's so Metallica." And while I disagree with nearly every decision those boys have made in the last 20 years, the wristbands were a good idea. They've significantly reduced the number of attention-grabbing emo wrist scabs. Plus, my girlfriend embroiders tiny yet horrifying flying monkeys on mine, so that's a plus.

two things i forgot to mention:

1) Black Elk are your brothers from Portland.

2) Pretty much everyone who played a stringed instrument that night had on wrist bands. Not sure what's up with that. Maybe they lose flesh turning out those big riffs? Or maybe I didn't notice and those were "Breast Cancer Awareness" wristbands.
