The Daily Choice: Hornet Leg - Wait

It’s as if you took a pop group of the early 1960s - a jangly little threesome or a propulsive quartet - and you remove them from reality.  You pull them through the expanses of space and time to the very edges of the world as we know it, and there you let them rest.

Everything is just a little off.  The gravity is just a little lower, so the vocals sound like there squished between two sheets of metal.  The acoustics are a bit, well, torqued, so the drums sound distant, a bit concave.  But in this white limbo, our little threesome or foursome they’re still trying to pound out the jangly pop they know and love.

Jangle pop in limbo.
