The Daily Choice: Skygreen Leopards - Dixie Cups In The Near Dead Grass

Summer, you sunshine-y beast you, you offer to me a myriad of tunes I can not help but to revel in.  Somedays I wake up and I want electronica tinged with a bit of tropicalia, or New Jersey surf rock, or West Coast Beach Boy revival music pushed through a thin screen of lo-fi fuzz - this lovely season brings it to me.

Skygreen Leopards, another band from this glorious Bay Area I’ve so correctly decided to call my new home, play a sort of cruisy-walk-through-the-woods-on-acid sort of pop that you might listen to while sprawled on a home-stitched blanket cuddled next to your gingham wearing lady friend.  Your eyes are on the sky, semi-questioning, is it blue or is it purple?
