Sound on the Sound Presents: The Local Natives at the Columbia City Theater

Following a rather packed schedule at SXSW, Silverlake’s Local Natives are hitting the road with fellow Angelinos the Union Line this April, and Sound on the Sound is presenting their appearance in Seattle on April 23. We think these guys are on the road to breaking big with their album Gorilla Manor, and imagine the Columbia City Theater as the ideal space to take in their expansive harmonies. Need proof? Start here:
Stream: “Stranger Things” by the Local Natives from Gorilla Manor
In the time since we commissioned the above poster the final details have been sorted out by the venue, such as an updated price and an earlier than thought start-time due to a complete 5 band-bill.

It looks like the Local Natives are set to go second on the bill, so note the start time, and make sure to show up early to catch every song.

Does anyone know if Local Natives are signed to a label?

I’m under the impression that they are probably shopping their record around right now.
I will ask them that question tomorrow in the interview I’ve set up with the band.

I used to work at eMusic.com, and still know most everyone there. They do a thing every 2 months where they showcase a new unsigned band (past showcases that took off include High Places, Deastro), and was thinking of suggesting them.
