The “We Sing in Time” Single
“We Sing in Time” by the Lonely Forest Live at EMP for Folklife 2008
Right when I wasn’t looking Burning Building Recordings released the first two Lonely Forest singles (two of ‘em?!), from the upcoming full length We Sing The Body Electric on iTunes last week. Both “We Sing in Time,” the song from which the album title comes from, as well as “Far Outer Banks” were released as singles, and this precedes the release of entire record on April 21. I feel like I’ve been anticipating this record for years now, so this seems like another “finally!” moment. A great recording is all these guys need to get the right kind of attention, and these first results are proving the album worth the wait.
You can listen to both songs at the album’s site or on the Lonely Forest’ myspace page. Watch a live version of “We Sing in Time” from inside the Sky Church at the EMP during the middle of last year up above.
And as we said you can buy the singles on iTunes for under a dollar each.
The first half of 2009 is really shaping up already.

I am rightly obsessed with this song…since discovering it last summer I’ve listened to it at least once nearly every day

I fell in love with the song and the band when I saw them last summer at the Sunset as part of the Songs from the Seattle Underground release party and have listened to it more than any other song since. Gorgeous rock song.
The album is very solid and has a couple of other really strong tracks.
