The Daily Choice: Maus Haus - We Used Technology (But Technology Let Us Down)
I had a friend up from San Francisco over the last few weeks and she left me a fantastic selection of San Francisco bands I’d never heard of. I’m slowly digging through it all, but this band, Maus Haus completely caught me off guard. Friend-o claims there are twenty or so members of this band, and you can almost tell in the sort of ramshackle of electronica that surrounds this entire album. I imagine nearly defunct robots, eyes spinning cartoonily, steam blasting out of their ears, possibly wearing metal maid dresses, lurching about in a house full of shining appliances. I imagine the Jetsons, fresh of a twelve day coke binge, just trying to get that damn treadmill to stop sparking.
Sadly, Wordpress cannot handle the sheer briliance of this track, so you’ll have to hear it at Maus Haus’ Myspace page. My apologies.

i am in love with this album. although it sounds like a herd of musicians, there are only 6 of them. they have musical talent beyond their time!
