The Maldives at Slackfest ::: Photo by Abbey
The Maldives Christmas Special at the Tractor Tavern with the Moondoggies is still on as far as we know right now (at 6:24pm), but we aren’t sure we’ll be able to make it across town even if it does go off. The streets are pretty well blanketed and we’re considering sledding down the hills on garbage can lids. The PI has a headline saying the storm will be “life-threatening” with heavy winds to start up so, so I think they’re trying to tell us we should stick around our own neighborhood.
The funny thing of it is that I never buy tickets for local shows in advance, but I did for this one because I wanted to be sure I wouldn’t miss it. Sheesh.
Update 6:45pm: We have confirmation from one of the Moondoggies that the show is a go.
