3 Blogs, 3 Shows, 3 Posters & 2 Birthday’s

First off I guess I should talk about the show that is happening tomorrow. It’s the one year birthday of the Seattle Powerpop Blog, so Gary is putting on a show at the Sunset Tavern. Get the complete details here.

Next up is the three imaginary girls fifth birthday party happening over two nights, one at the Crocodile on July 6 and one at the Vera Project on July 7. We’ll be taking in the Shaky Hands and Western States Motel for the first time on day one. This show should be a really good time.

Finally we come to our first show. Our show isn’t a birthday show, but we will be talking a bit more about a show on our exact birthday August 25, featuring Bhi Bhiman, just by coincidence. More on that later. This show, our innagural one, is happening July 14 at the Blue Moon and features Portland’s Junkface, the Femurs who have just released a new album, and Bellingham’s the Sparrows. Poster artist extraordinaire (and winner of perviest mustache) Jon Smith is responsible for this spooky poster. I hope it doesn’t give you nightmares. You’ll probably be seeing alot of it in the coming weeks leading up to the show.

Three blogs. Three Shows. Three Posters. Nice to see the blogging scene thrive.
