Elvis Perkins in Dearland at SXSW

This was a great set. I hadn’t realized it before, but Elvis sings all his songs with his eyes closed. He’s looking very young Dylan in these pictures as well. The set list was a sparse five songs: Doomsday, Shampoo, May Day, Hey and 1-2-3 Goodbye. Interestingly this only includes one song from his recently released record.
