Shim’s Light Show at Jules Maes
I have got to say that I was impressed by Shim’s show at Jules Maes last Saturday. I made a prediction that Shim would be sweet live, and they were. Dare I say, they sounded better live than on their album? They did. Their lights were money, and I got some cool pictures as a result.

See full Shim flickr set here.
Also playing that night were The Resets (flickr) and A Gun that Shoots Knives (flickr). The Resets, who I hadn’t seen before, had a “gaping head-wound” theme going on so that is why there is blood all over their faces in the pictures.

Josh was right and I was wrong. so so wrong.
Shim was incredible live. They sound like a completely different band then their record - a MUCH better band. Their songs which were lost in translation to me on their album, were (when played live) the catchy, rock’n'roll, instant clasics that had so been touted.
I am officially now a Shim fan. A big one.
