Another New Modest Mouse Song
Courtesy of prefix we have another song from the new Modest Mouse Album We Were Dead before the Ship Even Sank. This track is called “March Into the Sea.” For me, listening to it has notched up the impatience for this album’s release a bit. I think this might be my most anticipated release of March. Yes, even above The Arcade Fire’s Neon Bible. Maybe it’s only because the Arcade fire release is in sight while the Modest Mouse is more than a month away. Though, comparing the first two songs released off each record, ”Dashboard” and “March Into the Sea” for Modest Mouse, and “Black Mirror” and “Intervention” for Arcade Fire, I’m finding myself drawn into the Modest Mouse more. The Arcade Fire stuff seems a little more restrained and understated than their previous effort.

Sorry to say this but, although I agree that March to the Sea and Dashboard are by themselves much more impressive than Black Mirror and Intervention, Neon Bible is a much better album. We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, with exception of about fives tracks really does…..well, sink.
