Since today seemed to be the day that everyone began publishing their best of year lists, I thought I would do a little roundup of some of the more noteworthy lists that have been done up to this point. Gorilla vs. Bear has their top 10 of 2006 list. Nice to see The Long Winters on one of the writer’s lists.

My favorite KEXP DJ Quilty3000 has her “best of” list over at the KEXP blog. So does Larry of Larry’s Lounge who writes a story that incorporates the album titles of his favorites. More Cowbell, a Minnesota music blog, has their best 25 local albums of the year. Dissapointingly no Mason Jennings on that list. A lot of names I haven’t heard of before as well. We’ll be doing our lists pretty soon here. We’ll have our “best of local” lists and “best of everywhere” lists starting sometime next week probably. Stay tuned.
